THE CORE OF INDUSTRY is an award by invitation only and is open to European photographers under 35 years of age. The nominees, selected by a team of 12 nominators coming from all over Europe, are invited to submit a project within 29th February 2008, that must have been realized in the last 2 years. An international jury will view the works and select the winner. The submitted projects will be object of an exhibition of presentation of the award during Fotografia Europea 2008 and of a specific event, on 2nd May, when the winner will be publicly announced. Besides the money award of 5.000 Euro, the winner will be commissioned a research work about the industrial reality of Reggio Emilia, that will be exhebited during Fotografia Europea 2009.
